...Competitive strategies Report to the CEO
1.2 Can the company raise capital?
Twitter has the ability to raise capital. It is rapidly growing, has strong cash inflows, and a healthy balance sheet. This gives Twitter the flexibility to raise debt capital, because its liquidity will attract investors, and furthermore Twitter’s increasing financial stability reflects a maturing business that implies long term cash flow stability.
Bond investors tend to also look at the debt-to-equity ratio, as a high debt-to-equity ratio is typically associated with a company that would be higher risk. Twitter’s long term debt-to-equity is declining, largely because its profitability, and reductions in R&D spend are putting Twitter in a position of growing equity more quickly than it is growing debt. The company’s total liabilities are increasing, but long-term debt is not increasingly in any significant way. Equity is increasing significantly, and that is why the long-term debt to equity ratio is……

...Competitive strategies Business Proposal for Coffee Shop & Restaurants: The Madam Walker Theatre
History and Why the Business Fits
My business proposal is to start (re-start) the coffee-shop/restaurant that once existed in Walker Theatre (it was then named “The Coffee Pot”). The Madam Walker Theatre was named after Madam C. J. Sarah Breedlove Walker, an African-American entrepreneur who specialized in hair care and beauty products that were manufactured and sold in the building that now serves as her namesake. She developed and initiated plans for the building to be built and after her death in 1919 the completion of the project fell to her daughter A’Leila Walker. The building opened in 1927 and served as both the headquarters for the Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company—one of the biggest and brightest examples of African-American ingenuity and industry in the 20th century (National Park Service, 2019)—and as an entertainment theatre for the African……

...Competitive strategies The Influence of the PRC
Introduction
The People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the state that most influences contemporary international security. The globalization of the Communist superpower projects brings employment and economic growth. Since joining the World Trade Organization, China has become an increasingly influential participant in the global economy, and has used this increase in wealth to finance its other ambitions, including re-establishing itself as a great maritime power and increasing its influence over the South China Sea and nuclear development within the Indo-Pacific region.
People’s Republic of China Context
The People’s Republic of China emerged as the winning side in the post-WWII civil war between the Communist Party of China and the ruling Kuomintang. The latter was exiled to Taiwan, the PRC invaded Tibet, and the next change to the shape of the Chinese map was the return of Hong Kong and Macau to PRC rule in 1997……

...Competitive strategies Abstract
Cyber espionage has become a critical component of modern cyber warfare as nation-states increasingly rely on cyberspace. However, cyber espionage had generated concerns regarding its acceptability given its potential threats to national security. This study explores the proposition that cyber security should be deemed an acceptable state behavior while cyber attack is unacceptable. This study seeks to answer the question, “How is cyber espionage an acceptable state behavior for intelligence gathering though it is a form of unacceptable cyberattack?” Background information to provide the context for this study is discussed as well as a review of existing literature on the topic. A qualitative case study research design based on the Just War Theory will be utilized to conduct this research. Data will be collected from professionals in international relations and cyber security as well as existing publications on recent cyber espionage activities by China and Russia.
