...Behavior My specialty area of NP practice is family nurse practitioner. My choice of nursing theory on this front is the Dorothea Orem’s self-care deficit theory. To a large extent, this happens to be one of the most popular nursing theories owing to its succinct description of some concepts of great relevance to nursing practice. In essence, the theory advances the need for individuals as well as families to further their health and wellbeing by embracing the various practices associated with not only health maintenance, but also health promotion. In its basic format, self-care - as White (2013) notes - incorporates the patient in his wholeness (i.e. emotionally, mentally, and physically).

LGBTC youths are overrepresented amongst the homeless population. In spite of the fact that it is challenging to obtain accurate figures, it is approximated that LGBTC youths constitute 20 percent to 40 percent of the entire homeless youth population but make up solely 4 percent to 10 percent of the overall youth population. It is suggested that LGBTC youths are at greater risk of facing homelessness as compared to other youths (Cray et al., 2013). The inference of this is that they are almost 7 times over represented amongst the homeless community. In the study by Lai, Griffin and Babin (2009) entitled “How quality, value, image, and satisfaction create loyalty at a Chinese telecom,” the researchers used an integrative model to assess the relationship between multiple variables related to consumers’ experience of telecoms in China. The researchers conducted a survey of 118 Chinese telecommunications customers and found that service quality has a direct impact on value perception. Value and customer satisfaction, moreover, were found to determine the extent to which the customer would be loyal to the firm. Corporate image perceptions were also found to impact customer satisfaction. The researchers were able to conclude that customer satisfaction and service quality do make a substantial difference in determining whether customers will be retained or not.

According to Vasileiadis, Alevrakis, Amepelioti, Vigionas, Rovina, and Koutsoukou (2019), asthma happens to be rather common. Although it could be deemed a minor health concern amongst some people, the condition could be life-threatening for others – especially in relation to asthma attacks. It should be noted, from the onset, that “an acute asthma attack occurs in the midst of the chronic disease of asthma” (U.S. National Library of Medicine, 2019). Asthma does not have a cure. This effectively means that for those with the condition, the relevance of working closely with a qualified medical professional in tracking (and responding to) symptoms cannot be overstated.
