Several ethical issues, dilemmas, and problems apply to various aspects of psychology, including educational and scientific practices. The expansive body of literature on ethical issues shows that ethical issues are normally multifaceted and usually pose societal, interpersonal, professional, emotional, and intellectual challenges to psychologists. Furthermore, every psychologist can act unethically and harm their clients. In brief, ethics is important in the field of psychology, for it guides psychologists and various aspects of the field they are married to.
Ethics, as a field, emerged from the inquiries about moral life by ancient Greek philosophers. The term ethics is now described as a set of principles or a system that can significantly alter previous considerations regarding choices and actions. Philosophers argue that ethics is a sub-discipline of philosophy that deals with the dynamics of what is right and what is wrong when making decisions. ...Behavior A Self Care Plan for Preventing Burnout at Work
Abstract/Summary
An action plan is a way to establish a step-by-step guide for oneself to follow in order to achieve a goal. The main goal for this action plan is self-care. There are six areas of self-care that this action plan focuses on: physical, emotional, cognitive, social, financial and spiritual. The action plan identifies three sub goals within each area and describes the steps that I will take to reach those goals. This specific action plan was chosen to prevent me from becoming burned out at work. Self-care is important as psychologists and even the bible have shown. This paper provides support for the plan using scholarly sources, books, and other reference material, and the action plan shows why the goals and steps described are helpful in my self-care plan.

All mental health professionals will be working in a team or group environment at some point, even if they have established themselves in a private practice or run their own businesses. The coursework and experience provided through GRPL 6100 (group counseling lab), COUN 6320S (group course), COUN 6320S, Group Counseling and Guidance in Schools, and COUN 6250: Group Process and Dynamic, have provided insight and opportunities to learn most of the essential skills and competencies for mental health practice. Not only do these courses help mental health professionals build their group counseling skills and understand group dynamics better, they also prepare us for working with teams of other professionals whose ideas and views might differ from our own.

As self-aware and self-reflective beings, numerous individuals instinctively identify the significance of self-esteem. Self-esteem is, therefore, more of perception instead of a reality. It alludes to an individual’s belief regarding whether one is whether appealing or competent, and it does not necessarily mean anything regarding whether the individual is appealing and competent. Conventionally, the majority of people consider self-esteem to be significant. It is hard, in not intolerable, for people to continue being unconcerned to information that impacts their self-esteem, for instance, being told that they are stupid, ugly, or deceitful. An escalation or decline in self-esteem usually generates significant emotional responses. Furthermore, these changes are usually corresponding with key successes and failures experienced in life. Therefore, self-esteem facilitates happiness, greater performances, and also improved standards of living.

...Behavior Schizophrenia: A Beautiful Mind
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by both positive and negative symptoms. Positive symptoms may include hallucinations, delusions, and irrational beliefs. Negative symptoms may include a lack of affect, social withdrawal, and depression (“Schizophrenia,” 2016). Dissociative identity disorder is a highly controversial diagnosis which involves individuals dissociating or separating aspects of themselves into different personalities (Gillig, 2009). Unlike schizophrenia, however, the individual is not delusional, and is apparently responding to some form of concrete trauma in his or her life. As seen in the film A Beautiful Mind, schizophrenia is not necessarily triggered by a specific, traumatic incident in the individual’s life, although it does often arise during times of trauma and transition during an adolescent’s life, such as when Nash was going to graduate school at Princeton.

...Behavior Adolescent adjustment and well-being: Effects of parental divorce and distress
Introduction
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of divorce or separation on an adolescent’s psychological adjustment, investigate if there are any gender differences in the effect of divorce, the impact of time on the adolescent after divorce, and the effect of divorce on the adolescent after controlling for parental symptoms of depression and anxiety (Størksen, Røysamb, Holmen, & Tambs, 2006).
The independent variables for this study were divorce and parental distress. These two variables were selected because the researchers wanted to establish the effect of divorce on adolescents and compare it to those of adolescents whose parents had not divorced or separated. Adolescents who had grown up with one parent were included in the no divorce group since they had only known a single parent. Parental distress was used to determine the impact this would have……

It is surprising to note that religious trends in the US have been on the decline in the past couple of years. People are losing their faith and when children move out of their parents' homes they tend to stop going to church. This indicates that the children did not have a strong belief as their parents. With the changing lifestyles and job situation, young people do not have the time to go to church and they do not create the time for church. Also, there is an increasing number of young adults in the US who identify as Atheists since they do not ascribe to a particular religion.
