Staffing For Nurses In Hospitals

Pages: 12 (3617 words) Sources: 5 Document Type:Term Paper Document #:39252116

...Compliance Proposal for mandatory staffing ratios
Introduction: Reflection
Public Policy Issue
This policy will mandate that mandatory staffing ratios be met by hospitals throughout the nation. This is an important public policy issue because it would oblige hospitals that are part of the Medicare program to create a committee that is partly made of nurses who can discuss the issue of staffing. As Fowler and Comeaux (2017) point out, staffing is still a major challenge for nurses. If there are too few nurses on staff it can lead to nurse burnout. The right ratio of nurses to patients is required to prevent nurses from being overburdened (Martin, 2015). The reason I selected this policy is because it is clearly important to nurses’ own health and ability to do their jobs. It can also play a part in preventing turnover rates from going too high (Laschinger & Fida, 2015). Therefore, this is……

Fiscal Health Of Public Administration

Pages: 8 (2386 words) Sources: 4 Document Type:response paper Document #:45658914

...Compliance 1
Five future trends in Public Administration are 1) global interconnectedness and self-sufficiency; 2) changes to public health policy; 3) incorporation of advanced technology into administration; 4) more grassroots advocacy; and 5) emphasis on sustainability (Florida Tech, 2019). The first trend—the global interconnectedness of public administrations and a focus at the same time on self-sufficiency—may seem like two diametrically opposed trends going in opposite directions, but the reality is that global interconnectedness and self-sufficiency are compatible and public administrators in the future will need to realize how. First off, globalization is a fact of life in the modern world. The China-U.S. trade war is a perfect example of how what is happening on one side of the world can have a tremendous impact on the entire rest of the planet: the reason is that we live in a global economy, and every country’s economic output is integrated with every other……

The mission of probation is to ensure public safety through motivating offenders to change and to lead lives that are free of crime. The mission is achieved via the re-integration of offenders back into their communities, monitoring the offenders, supervising and controlling the offenders, and ensuring the offenders are re-entering in positive and safe environments where they can stay crime-free.
Offenders are usually monitored in various ways to ensure they are living crime-free lives and that they are truly reformed. Clinical Informatics

...Compliance Clinical Decision Support and Electronic Health Records
Introduction
Information technology has revolutionized nearly every aspect of life, from how people recreate to how they work. This is no less true in the field of health care, where clinical informatics is reshaping the nursing workplace environment, how patient data is recorded and shared, and how health care is delivered. This paper will discuss clinical informatics concepts emerging in the 21st century, what evidence-based practice (EBP) shows with respect to clinical informatics, how the law figures into this issue with respect to HIPAA, privacy/confidentiality and security issues; and how patient safety, the nursing role and electronic medical records are impacted.
Clinical Informatics Concepts in the 21st Century
Controlling the flow of information to promote efficiency, security, and safety is the number one priority of clinical informatics. 21st century concepts for how this can be accomplished include training in how to find information,……

Introduction
In Judaism and Christianity, the Bible is attributed to a sacred status upon which rests the conviction that the Word is the receptacle of revealed divinity. However, among humanity, the knowledge that the Bible is the Word of God has not served to generate a common, uniform, and universal hermeneutical principle for its interpretation. Across human history, the Bible has been interpreted diversely, with some arguing that interpretation of the Bible must be literal because, by being the Word of God, it is explicit, express, and complete[footnoteRef:1]. Others have argued……
