Religious Trend and Religious Sensitivity
It is surprising to note that religious trends in the US have been on the decline in the past couple of years. People are losing their faith and when children move out of their parents' homes they tend to stop going to church. This indicates that the children did not have a strong belief as their parents. With the changing lifestyles and job situation, young people do not have the time to go to church and they do not create the time for church. Also, there is an increasing number of young adults in the US who identify as Atheists since they do not ascribe to a particular religion.
One must be sensitive to other religious beliefs and practices. Some people hold dearly to their religion and tradition and one should respect that. While some religions might seem odd in the way they do things one should communicate properly with them to ensure that everything is clear and understood. Understanding how best to explore the religion of the parents in cases where infants are involved is vital. This will allow the physician to communicate effectively with the parents and demonstrate to them the benefit of a particular treatment. One should always approach others with respect and care because a single misstep can be forgiven if there is genuine respect.

While the exact origin of religion

Examples where religion has become intersected with politics are present throughout the entire history, and in more recent years, include the debates on same sex marriages or on abortion. A more specific look at the relationship between politics and religion has revealed at least three points of intersection -- the role of churches, the evolution of human rights and the emergence and impacts of religious conflicts. Religion is truly a lived experience. In today's volatile world, with world events hinging on various interpretations of religious texts perhaps more than in any other time in human history save, perhaps, during the Crusades, humanity is increasingly aware that religion is not a stoic object of study. Rather, it is a living breathing force in which we live and which inhabits us, whether we seek it or not. Robert Orsi's
