Army Sustainment Function Of A Sergeant Major
A very important function that I, as a Sergeant Major takes related to army sustainment which not only provides efficient distribution of personnel and logistics, but also provides health services support to sustain and prolong the operations to ensure that the army is fully prepared through proper theater distribution, pre-positioning and other ways (Transportation Resources, 2017). This makes sure that the resources are utilized efficiently and used in a proper way which can be in terms of manpower, skill enhancement, materiel supplies and other resourcing which accomplishes the mission of the organization.
It is extremely important that we know what is required by each unit and prepare the organization for missions since it will strengthen their persisting capacity for achieving future goals. Leadership Failure
In what has been billed as the largest prescription-drug withdrawal in history, on the 30th of September, 2014, Merck withdrew Rofecoxib (Vioxx) following what Topol (2004) cites as excessive stroke and myocardial infarctions risk associated with the drug. The withdrawal came in the light of an FDA approval five years earlier and $2.5 billion in sales. At the time of its withdrawal, the medicine had been taken by a total of 80 million patients. Topol (2004) is of the opinion that this particular debacle could have been avoided had clear warning signs not been ignored along the way. The primary leaders in this particular case were leadership at the FDA and Merck’s senior executives.

Introduction
The concept of healthcare reform has to do with the process of changing health systems in the US so as to make it accessible to all American citizens. As it is at the moment, it still faults and faces numerous challenges. The reform is not going to happen like magic. It will take time. In fact the reform process itself is likely to face lots of challenges including stiff opposition. However, the size and dynamic of reform involved necessitates that the process is started and measures put in place to safeguard the little steps made towards great and positive change in future. As Stuart Hall shows, media representations are powerful. The problem is that the often present stereotypical images and characters that perpetuate and propagate biased beliefs. Because so much media is directed at and consumed by young people, youth culture itself becomes inundated with prefabricated ideas that are developed by the Culture Industry for their consumption. The Frankfurt School argued that the reason people in America never rose up against the owners of the means of production was because the Culture Industry had pacified them by way of the media—films, TV shows, musicals, music albums and so on—all of it had depleted the working class people of whatever impulse they might have had to rise up and take control of their own destiny, like Marx said they would. How Media Perpetuate Racism
When Willie Lynch wrote his letter to white slave owners in America in the 17th century, laying out the blueprint for the American Establishment on how to create racial tensions in order to facilitate the white slave owners’ rule over their African slave, he unwittingly laid the foundation stone for American elitism and racism that has since come to characterize the ruling class’ use of mass media in controlling the population (Heaggans). When new sports are introduced to the global market, they are frequently met with disdain, ridicule, or mistrust. Even when those sports become popular, stalwarts of the old guard cling to their notion of what differentiates a “real” sport from a “mere” game or hobby. Some sports that are now entrenched in the Olympic games, such as snowboarding, were once derided. On the other hand, many sports that have been mainstays in the Olympics still do not meet all the typical definitions of what constitutes a sport. Synchronized swimming and rhythmic gymnastics are physically challenging but are not sports in the way that rugby or soccer are. Yet the latter two are not included in the Olympics and the former two are. Introduction of Strategy
Almost ten years back, the Austin History Center launched a new permanent exhibit on African American history in Travis County that has since inspired local activism, awareness, and community self-empowerment (Castillo, 2018). This strategy builds upon the success of the Austin History Center projects, which include the vast resources contained in the Austin History Center’s African American Community Archivist (2019). Building resilience through the arts, culture, and community pride will be the solution-focused approach to addressing persistent disparities in Travis County, Texas.
