Scientists believe that the current warming of the planet is because of human activity because science has been politicized to a large extent, which has in turn led to economic changes. Scientists point to the use of fossil fuels as an explanation for periods of climate warming; this attention allowed the carbon credit system to be put into place, where carbon credits are bought and sold by companies to ensure a tighter regulation of the use of fossil fuels (Kenton, 2020).
While technically one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gases is cows and the methane they release (Lemonick, 2017), humans are still responsible for the agriculture and farming industries. Still, most science media puts the blame on fossil fuels—the carbon dioxide coming out of internal combustion engine cars and coal-burning factories. The U.S. adapted to wartime needs during WWII by mobilizing people for war (drafting and enlisting men to be soldiers), opening factors to build machines for war, raising funding for the war by introducing war bonds, and relying on volunteers to help civil defense government programs. The Office of Civilian Defense was established to help keep communities safe. The Civil Air Patrol was started to empower civilians to patrol the borders and coasts. Women also started working in factories to support the war effort while the men were off training and fighting. Immigrants from Mexico were also brought in to help with the farming. Even the black community, which beforehand had continued to be marginalized under Jim Crow, was recruited to join the war effort and enlist as soldiers. The Constitution is relevant when people want it to be, and irrelevant when they do not want it to be. For instance, everyone become a Constitutionalist when he starts arguing that habeas corpus (Article I), due process (5th and 14th Amendments) and freedom of speech (1st Amendment) are important. But at other times people argue that gun rights (2nd Amendment) should be overturned and arms confiscated and banned, or that safety should come before the right to privacy (3rd, 4th and 5th Amendments). Thus, people are generally torn about what parts of the Constitution are relevant and what parts are not. Typically, when it comes to themselves, they want the protections of the Constitution—so if they feel that society poses a threat to themselves, they generally want the right to bear arms.……
