Julia Jacobs’ article in the New York Times entitled “Dancer Tries to Quell ‘West Side Story’ Controversy: ‘I Am Not a Victim’” raises interesting questions in the #MeToo era, namely who can and should define what constitutes a victim of sexual assault. A controversy arose in the casting of the actor Amar Ramasar the Broadway revival of West Side Story, due to the fact that Ramasar had been found to have shared nude photos of his girlfriend, the ballet dancer Alexa Maxwell, in a punitive act after the couple had separated. Maxwell stated that she had forgiven her former boyfriend, and had even felt pressured to prosecute him after a prominent attorney in the #MeToo movement had contacted her about the toxic culture at City Ballet, where both Ramasar and Maxwell had danced. Maxwell opposed Ramasar’s firing from the play.

Workers at the company of Kroger do not appear motivated since the outbreak of COVID-19 has increased their workload. They are grumbling about not getting paid more even though more is now expected of them. They are stocking shelves more, cleaning the store more, disinfecting carts, and generally working non-stop from start time to finish, whereas they are used to having some down time and things being more leisurely at work. Management is beginning to notice that employee morale is sinking and workers are beginning to slack. Management wonders what it can do to motivate employees.

Gestalt Therapy Counseling Psychology History And Interventions

Gestalt is a German word signifying a pattern or shape. The roots of Gestalt therapy can be traced to Max Wertheimer, who studied human perceptual illusions. Wertheimer’s research led to a holistic view of the human psyche that provided a necessary counterpoint to the fragmented, reductionist, and structuralist views that prevailed in research psychology. Gestalt therapy emerged after blending the principles of Gestalt with the goals of psychotherapy. In particular, Gestalt therapists like Frederick “Fritz” Perls used the concept of a Gestalt to emphasize the importance of holism in psychotherapy. Humanism also became a cornerstone of Gestalt therapy, which promotes an “I/Thou” therapeutic relationship based on points of contact between individuals who are connected in an integrated social network. Group therapy and art therapy are also methods used in Gestalt psychology.

The concept of leisure is on that has been used to measure the equity within the masses and the degree to which different classes, genders or groups share the same amount of “free” time. One of the problems with examining leisure, however, is that it is a rather subjective experience—and what constitutes leisure for one may be vastly different from how another sees it. This paper examines the issue of leisure from the standpoint of class by looking at how leisure time is experience among the rich and the poor. One organization that has recognized the importance of using a formal, standardized acquisition process in the U.S. Department of Energy which oversees dozens of major projects each year. The purpose of this paper is to provide a detailed review of a major program that has been managed, via the acquisition process, over the past decade, by the Department of Energy at the Y-12 National Security Complex. A strong relationship has been established between social support and psychotic symptoms. However, there is not study that has analyzed the level of social support received by children with schizophrenia. Children who have low levels of social support have been found to be at a greater risk of increased internalizing and externalizing problems.

Youth with childhood and adolescent schizophrenia would have less social support than children with autism spectrum disorder.

The United States is a party to the 1949 Geneva Convention (GC) that outlines the Law of War. Ratification to the GC treaty implies that the US seeks to protect the victims of war. The GC outlines unjustifiable destruction and appropriation of property as a violation of the law of war (US Marine Corps , 2005). Article 17 of GC demands a local agreement to validate the evacuation of the population from besieged areas to aid in ease movement of medical equipment, personnel, and wounded people. Company Overview
I’m studying a software company that shall be known as K. K is not based in Silicon Valley, but elsewhere in the US, with offices around the world. K sells SaaS products in the B2B market and has sales in the hundreds of millions, and over 1000 employees. This company has also acquired several small firms in recent years. Integrating all of those individual cultures into a cohesive one has been one of the organization’s biggest challenges. This paper will outline the culture at K via primary sources, supplemented with secondary source material on organizational culture theory.
Primary research consisting of several employee interviews revealed some challenges, especially the domains of underlying assumptions and values. There is a lack of artifacts that provide meaning, which is another problem that will need to be resolved.
