...Communication Why to Adopt Pedagogy Based on Digital Online Interactions with Students
Introduction
With the arrival of the digital age has come a shift in the way information is pursued, transacted, shared, discussed, obtained, and processed. Students who have grown up in the digital age are digital natives and are more comfortable using digital technology than being without it. For design educators who are used to the studio-based pedagogy that has been in use for a century, shifting to embrace a digital-based pedagogy can seem like a transition that is too great of a leap for them to welcome. After all, the pedagogy of the studio-based design education has its own special uniqueness that cannot be replicated in a digitalized format. However, what design educators need to realize is that it is not about replication but rather it is about improving the pedagogy by way of innovation. The pedagogy of the……

...Communication How Does the Use of In-home Monitoring for CHF Impact Re-hospitalization Rates?
Impact on In-home Monitoring for CHF on Re-hospitalization Rates
Congestive heart failure (CHF) is one of the major cardiovascular diseases with high global incidence and prevalence in the United States. While numerous advances in evidence-based medical therapy continues to occur, congestive heart failure remains a major problem as it results in significant burden of mortality, morbidity, and costs. The United States has a prevalence of 5.8 million individuals with the condition and more than 960,000 cases annually. It is estimated that approximately one million hospitalizations linked to congestive heart failure occur annually. Most of these hospitalizations arise from worsened congestion among already diagnosed patients. The United States spends approximately $32.7 billion on congestive heart failure annually. Martirosyan et al. (2017) states that readmission rates for this condition remain high as nearly 20% of patients are readmitted within 30……

The new product is a spa that services mothers of young children. It is called Ma Spa and the innovative idea behind the service is that it provides care for her kids while she receives her spa treatment. Most moms with small kids do not have the opportunity to stop in at the spa because they have kids in tow—so the Ma Spa is designed for them: no appointments needed and no worries about what to do with the children. The Ma Spa has certified childcare professionals on staff who oversee the children as they play in their own play area while Mom relaxes and gets her hair or nails done. The American soft drink market has been gradually shrinking over the last two decades due to health concerns. Many health experts are warning against sugary and carbonated drinks, so the sales have naturally reduced. And several reports are showing that those who are no longer taking sugary and carbonated drinks are turning to alternative drinks such as teas, natural juices, water, and so on.
