This study looks at the influence of digital platforms in projecting feminism in the 21st century. The author discusses subjects such as Pussy Riot and Twitter movements like #YesAllWomen. The point the author makes is that neoliberal societies are still oppressive towards women and that feminism is both needed and alive on social and digital media. This source comes from a peer-reviewed journal and is relevant to my topic of interest because it discusses whether feminism is still possible or prevalent in the 21st century, since it seems so often taken for granted. The strength of the article is its case study focus with specific examples of feminism on digital platforms. The main weakness……

Nursing And Adaptive Response

Pages: 7 (1974 words) Sources: 6 Document Type:Research Paper Document #:38392120

...Appearance Introduction
Adaptive response refers to how the human body protects itself from injury or infection. It is the third line of defense after inflammatory response and innate immunity (Huether & McCance, 2017). Advanced practice nurses should understand patient’s adaptive responses to alterations caused by disease processes. This paper explains the pathophysiology of tonsillitis, irritant contact dermatitis (ICD), and stress responses as determined from scenario 1, 2 and 3 (see Appendix A). In addition, it presents the mind map of tonsillitis that shows epidemiology, pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and adaptive responses.
Scenario 1: Acute Tonsillitis
The conclusion from scenario 1 (see Appendix A) is a 2-years-old female patient suffering from on and off fever, sore throat, and swallowing pain for three days. Physical examination shows the patient’s throat is red with 4 tonsils, diffuse exudates, and palpable tender anterior cervical nodes. Patient's vital signs reveal a heart rate of……

Stephen Kings The Outsider Persuasive Argument

...Appearance Stephen King’s The Outsider: A Persuasive Argument
Introduction
The Outsider is a well-written book with exiting and unexpected turns and twists. The book has several well-developed themes. In my opinion, however, the central theme of the story is the rational man’s inability to believe that which does not conform to reality – the inability to believe in the supernatural. It is important to note that one of the most celebrated traits of the modern man is rationality. In basic terms, rationality could be conceptualized as the ability to rely on logic or reason in decision making. This effectively means that from a rational perspective, anything that does not conform to reason and logic cannot be accepted. We all start off in life having outrageous beliefs and fantasies. For instance, as kids we believe in the tooth-fairy and regard Father Christmas as a real benevolent person. These are beliefs we outgrow……
