… inability to perform everyday tasks are all signs that the person may be suffering from dementia. There is no diagnosis for dementia though medical history and tests can provide doctors with a high degree of certainty about the condition of the individual.

...Medical medicine Executive Summary
This white paper introduces the idea of lifting weights by discussing how it can improve health and who the role models are for women today. It discusses prior research on women’s health, then describes new findings from recent research that shows the benefits of lifting weights for women. It shows the benefits as relating to improved mood, increased confidence, and improved physical and mental health.
Introduction
The keys to having a healthy life are nutrition and exercise. A good diet such as the world-renowned Mediterranean Diet and sufficient levels of physical activity throughout the day can improve one’s health and outlook (Guntzviller, King, Jensen & Davis, 2017). This paper will focus on the exercise part of that equation and discuss the benefits that lifting weights can have for a select population—specifically for women who are between the ages of 25 and 40.
In the past, lifting weights has……

...Medical medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
In the present scenario, the patient presents with symptoms similar to those of acute myocardial infarction AMI. It therefore follows that the primary diagnosis in this case, on the strength of the said symptoms and following further assessment, would be AMI. In basic terms, AMI is occasioned by tissue damage as a consequence of the abrupt cut-off of blood flow to the heart. Some of the key symptoms associated with AMI include, but they are not limited to “chest pain, which travels from left arm to neck, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, vomiting, abnormal heart beating, anxiety, fatigue, weakness, stress, depression, and other factors” (Lu, Sun, Zheng, and Zhang, 2015, p. 866). In the case presented, the patient presents with shortness of breath and midsternal chest pain.
In seeking to confirm the primary diagnosis, some of the tests that would come in handy are an ECG……

...Medical medicine Condition Assessment and Diagnosis
It should be noted from the onset that patients who are asthmatic ought to manage their asthma in a proper manner during pregnancy. This is more so the case given the need to minimize complications during the term of the pregnancy. It is important to note that some of the problems that could result as a consequence of poorly controlled asthma during pregnancy include, but they are not limited to; hypertension, premature birth, as well as restricted fetal growth (Vincent, Abraham, Kochanek, and Fink, 2011). It therefore follows that in the scenario recounted, the key concern would be the pregnant female patient’s control of her asthma at this point in time.
There would be need to find out if the patient has been taking her asthma medications as recommended since she became pregnant. A thorough physical examination as well as patient history would also be of……

...Medical medicine Viral Gastroenteritis Diagnosis
Based on the symptoms presented, the child could be suffering from viral gastroenteritis (or what is commonly referred to as the stomach flu). In basic terms, this is an intestinal infection that is in most cases developed either via the ingestion of water or food that is contaminated, or via contact with an infected person. It should be noted that in the present scenario, the 5-year-old attends daycare. Thus, he could have gotten the infection through close contact with an infected child. Some of the symptoms associated with viral gastroenteritis include, but they are not limited to, low-grade fever, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain/cramps, diarrhea, etc. Indeed, in the words of Churgay and Aftab (2012), “acute gastroenteritis in children is often defined as the onset of diarrhea in the absence of chronic disease, with or without abdominal pain, fever, nausea, or vomiting” (1060). The child’s symptoms mimic the……

...Medical medicine Diagnosis and Plan of Care
The patient’s blood pressure in this case (i.e. 148/92) could be described as elevated. Further, the patient’s blood sugar (at 154 mg/dl) is high. It has also been indicated that the patient in this particular case has a BMI of 37 and waist of 42 inches. In basic terms, a person with a BMI of above 30 is considered obese. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (2019), “the higher your BMI, the higher your risk for certain diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes.” Also, in as far as waist circumference is concerned, the patient’s waist size is 40 in this case. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (2019) points out that men who have a waist size exceeding 40 are at an increased risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It is also important to……

...Medical medicine Asthma is, in basic terms, a condition characterized by the narrowing and swelling of airways, as well as the production of extra mucus. This results in challenges in breathing – effectively triggering shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing. It is important to note there is no cure for asthma. It therefore follows that the control of asthmatic symptoms is of the essence. According to the American Lung Association (2020), a person who has a PEAK flow rate of 80% – 100% has reasonably good control of their asthma. On the other hand, as the American Lung Association further points out, “50 to 80 percent of your usual or ‘normal’ peak flow rate signals caution.” Maria’s PEAK flow performance is 60%. It should be noted that during pregnancy, uncontrolled asthma could present serious health challenges/risks for both the mother and the unborn baby. It therefore follows that that on this front,……
