Advantages And Disadvantages Of Interrelationships Between Organizational

Pages: 16 (4728 words) Sources: 28 Document Type:Essay Document #:81594345

...Leadership 1. Advantages and Disadvantages of Interrelationships between Organizational Functions and Impact on Organisational Structure
Organizational Functions
The functions of an organization take into account the different aspects undertaken by the business including production or manufacturing, marketing, sales, accounting as well as research and development. In accordance to Sherman and Thompson (2019), the organizational structure delineates the relationship and interrelations between the functions of a business and ascertains the manner in which the chain of command operates through the various levels. The interrelationship between organizational functions and organizational structure is akin to a flow chart. This is in the sense that an entity can set up its business structure around the organizational functions. However, even if the entity fails to do so, the organizational functions and structure will have an impact on one another (Sherman and Thompson, 2019).
Functional Organizational Structure
A functional organizational structure creates distinct and separate departments. Plenty……

Life Coaching And Ethics

Pages: 2 (660 words) Sources: 2 Document Type:Essay Document #:41623569

...Leadership Ethics of a Life Coach
The life coach and the coachee have a special relationship that is very similar to the relationship between the counselor and the client. In the client-counselor relationship, the counselor is expected to abide by a code of ethics, and the same expectations should be preserved for the coach-coachee relationship. The life coach is a position of authority to some degree, and to misuse or abuse the trust granted him by the coachee is to violate the ethical principles that support the good work that coaches can do with their coachees. This paper will look at question e) Are there circumstances where it would be OK to have a sexual relationship with a client/coachee? It will show that engaging in a sexual relationship with a client/coachee would be highly unethical.
As Moberg and Valasquez (2004) point out, the ethics of mentoring does not mean that it provides……

Strategies To Improve Retention Rates At A Consulting Firm

Pages: 8 (2352 words) Sources: 7 Document Type:Research Proposal Document #:75835646

...Leadership Executive Summary
Although the precise causes differ from organization to organization, the high costs that are associated with unplanned turnover are well documented. In fact, in some professions, replacement costs for employees can easily equal their annual salary or even more, so identifying strategies to reduce turnover rates represents a valuable and timely enterprise. To this end, the purpose of this proposal is to provide a description of the problems of interest and what can be done to mitigate these issues. A description of the implications of implementing the career management program is followed by the key recommendation that emerged from the research. These recommendations include providing employees with a career management plan that motivates them to acquire additional education and training as well as instilling an enhanced sense of organizational loyalty to reduce turnover levels. In addition, a secondary recommendation concerns the need to encourage employees to develop their……

Staffing For Nurses In Hospitals

Pages: 12 (3617 words) Sources: 5 Document Type:Term Paper Document #:39252116

...Leadership Proposal for mandatory staffing ratios
Introduction: Reflection
Public Policy Issue
This policy will mandate that mandatory staffing ratios be met by hospitals throughout the nation. This is an important public policy issue because it would oblige hospitals that are part of the Medicare program to create a committee that is partly made of nurses who can discuss the issue of staffing. As Fowler and Comeaux (2017) point out, staffing is still a major challenge for nurses. If there are too few nurses on staff it can lead to nurse burnout. The right ratio of nurses to patients is required to prevent nurses from being overburdened (Martin, 2015). The reason I selected this policy is because it is clearly important to nurses’ own health and ability to do their jobs. It can also play a part in preventing turnover rates from going too high (Laschinger & Fida, 2015). Therefore, this is……

Identifying Key Characteristics Of A High Performance Project Team

Pages: 6 (1759 words) Sources: 3 Document Type:Research Paper Document #:33471333

...Leadership Abstract
In this article, the problems at FEL are analyzed and assessed from the standpoint of what FEL should do to assign managers to project teams and what efficiencies these criteria create. The problem is that FEL is not very thorough or cautious in its approach. Now it has a problem of the team members not wanting to work together and Gatenby is relying on Jobe to make it all work. This is unlikely to really happen and so if Gatenby cannot get them all to recognize that they are professionals and must now come together as a team in spite of their animosity, then the project is going to fail and some may not reach their personal goals. Tuckman’s five stages of group development may be helpful in solving the problem.
