Reforming The Criminal System

...Interview The Need for Criminal Justice Reform and Bail Reform
When it comes to incarceration, the U.S. has the worst record in the world: the U.S. is only 4.4% of the world’s population, but it makes up 22% of the entire planet’s prison population. 716 people for every 100,000 in the U.S. will be incarcerated; moreover, 70% of those in prison will be there simply because they cannot afford to pay for bail (ACLU, 2019). Since most people live paycheck to paycheck in the U.S. it is not surprising to find that anyone accused of a crime is unlikely to be able to post the average cost of bail, which in the U.S. is $11,000 (ACLU, 2019). For these reasons, there is a need to establish both criminal justice reform and bail reform in the U.S. The American Gulag is like that of the Soviet Gulag: people lose their entire lives……

Counseling A Child With ADHD Issues With Medication

Pages: 1 (308 words) Sources: 1 Document Type:Interview Document #:42657616

...Interview Mini-Script with Tonya’s Parents
Counselor: What are some of your concerns about Tonya’s diagnosis of ADHD?
Parent: We are mainly concerned about putting her on drugs. I heard the medications they are giving children are basically speed.
Counselor: You are right to be concerned about the use of ADHD medications, and I advocate a cautionary approach to pharmaceutical interventions. This is especially true in Tonya’s case, since she is ten years old and her brain is still developing. Tonya seems to be well-adjusted, motivated, and has a good attitude so there is no reason why we cannot first explore a wide range of treatment options to help her address the difficulties she is having in terms of remaining focused. Are you aware of some of the counseling options available, which we can try first?
Parent: I’m aware of a few but would prefer some insight into which of those options……

Why Some Believe Vaccinations Are Dangerous

Pages: 3 (1044 words) Document Type:Interview Document #:86221686

...Interview Dialogue: Topic—Vaccinations
Me: I see that the coronavirus is spreading. I am worried about it—I think it is causing a lot of death in China and it could potentially be quite bad here. Unfortunately, they are saying that a vaccine is still a year away.
Friend: Even if they had a vaccine ready to go today, I would not take it. Who knows what is in those things?
Me: You would take it for your children, though—no?
Friend: If they came for my children and wanted to shoot them up with vax, they would have to do it over my dead body. I’m not stupid, I see what those things do to kids. SIDs? Are you serious? You think babies just suddenly die? Sudden infant death syndrome was not a problem until the vaccine industry got started and they started injecting babies with that stuff. Or look at the rate……
