...College life The Founding Fathers stated in the Declaration of Independence (1776) that “all men are created equal”—but it was a statement that only rang partially true if one is to judge by their actions. Even though Thomas Paine (1791) had identified the “Rights of Man” in his treatise by the same name, the Americans were not really interested in applying Enlightenment philosophy to its fullest, for they still wished to deny the Negro his fair share of equality. Slavery persisted for nearly another century and it took the Civil War to bring that issue to the fore, with the Great Emancipator finally taking the first steps in freeing slaves in states still occupied by the Rebels of the South. However, Emancipation Proclamation was still hardly the turning point in African-American relations that was needed—and Lincoln himself had been working on a plan that would see the slaves deported to a new……

...College life Food & The Environment
Summary
Globalization has an impact on all aspects of our lives from the environment to food. Foods that are produced in one country are a favorite in another country. This has resulted in food like quinoa being a favorite for health fanatics (Yu, 01/22/2019). However, this has led to quinoa not being readily available to the local community as they cannot afford to buy it yet it is their staple grain. Bolivia has a good climate for the growth of the grain and this means that a majority of farmers have planted the grain for export to Western countries making it scarce and pricey for the locals to buy. Globalization has led to food from different cultures and countries to be enjoyed in other countries. Nowadays, we find whole cuisines being available in different countries across the globe and people can enjoy the variety of food……

...College life Introduction
Without any set moral guidelines and stipulations, a country’s criminal justice system is not capable of accurately meeting the needs of its people. The role of the system is to penalize poor conduct and make sure that victims of crime are well compensated for any of their losses (Braswell, McCarthy & McCarthy, 2017; Souryal & Whitehead, 2019). Ethics are valuable in such systems because they offer both the victim and the accused fair justice application (Kramer, 2018). In this essay, the significance of ethics within the criminal justice system is discussed. Also, instances of unethical behavior, as well as the legal responsibilities suffered by the doers of such action, are presented.
Importance of ethics within the criminal justice
Ethics offers answers to several questions within the system. What is considered bad behavior or conduct? What is the most suitable compensation for victims of crime, and what is the befitting……

1. Most Americans over the age of 65 have the ability to enroll in Medicare part A and Medicare part B. Medicare Part A is what is known as “hospital insurance”, and “helps pay for inpatient care in a hospital or limited time at a skilled nursing facility (following a hospital stay). Part A also pays for some health care and hospice care”, according to the Social Security Administration.
The Medicare website outlines some specific things within each of these broad categories. For example, under hospital care Medicare Part A covers semi-private rooms, meals, general nursing, drugs as part of your inpatient treatment, and other hospital services and supplies.
In a skilled nursing care unit, you are covered for meals, semi-private room, skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology services, medications, medical social services, medical supplies and equipment used in the facility, ambulance transportation, dietary counseling,……
