globalization in public administration / Human resources in Pub. Admin.

Future of public administration given globalization trends

The field of public administration is reliant on globalization to obtain up-to-date information on the issues surrounding daily work performances. This aspect sets in the perspective of efficiency and accuracy in decision making with a more sure measure to attain a specified goal. The fields of public relation in the future will a higher level of efficiency in targeting the decision. These decisions will continuously deviate from trial and error measure to articulate ideal standards of taking decisions. Communication in the public administration will in the future disengage in traditional mode of decision taking and engage the value of interaction. This adoption will strengthen the systems of public relation and add value to the authority a public administrator has in the organization.

My career in public administration is expected to drop the high held values and cultural norms within my country, community and organization. The value of the globe will have a significant role to play in influencing how I undertake my duties in the career. This will call for a deeper understanding and interrogation of the global culture and an incorporation of the global culture in duty performance. The capacity technology advancement offers is not negligible given the magnitude it carries to influence the interpersonal and international relations (Benhardt, 2010) With this perspective in mind in my career as a public administrator I will in future need to increase my capacity of accommodating larger volumes in knowledge. This will mean that public administrator will have to restructure the way we attend to issues in order to incorporate the global culture in line with targeted administrative roles.

As far as this aspect is concerned my perspective as a public administrator to incorporate the need to understand more than just the cultures within one own organization.

Information gathering and dissemination through the ever growing globalization measures presents a challenge to how I can administrate. This is a conceptualization that previously eluded me owing to the constrained view of scope of the public administration role. In as much as the public administration duties are impacted to the domestic arena, the understanding of the matter in a global perspective helps come up with more appropriate decision.

The understanding and integration of a global perspective alienates misgivings where decisions that impact on people's lives are concerned. The thought of public relation and the heavy task it holds in administration of information does not necessarily transcend organization responsibility. In many cases public administration proves a platform for flow of knowledge requiring the attention of concerned individual. The results of the incident of communication cannot be placed at the hands of the public administration (Jonathan, 2009).

Role of union in modern work place

Union can help to articulate the views and ideas of the workforce to improve working practices and workplace performance. This can result in raised employee motivation and productivity, leading in turn to reduced staff turnover, lower recruitment costs and a loss of skills. Union Learning Representatives can start employee training programs this will help employees enhance their work capabilities and, in some cases, to overcome a lack of basic…
