If an institution of higher learning fails to provide its adult students with a relevant curriculum that is delivered in a manner that is readily accessible to them, these students will likely continue to shop around until they find a school that meets their needs; it will be in this "invisible hand" capacity that I will help to shape curriculum development over the coming 10 years.

How will these changes impact you personally?

To the extent that educational opportunities are introduced in the coming years that provide the same level of learning that has traditionally been relegated to the physical classroom is the extent to which I expect to take increasing advantage of them. "Technology integration can facilitate a variety of learner-centered instructional methods" (Cifuentes & Willis, 2005, p. 44). In the past, my selection of classes has been guided by a complex (and sometimes unreliable) mental algorithm that was based on a prioritization of 1) my interests in the subject matter, 2) my need for the course for degree completion purposes, 3) its length and scheduling (how long is it and what days does it meet?), and 4) my personal schedule. It is also reasonable to expect that most other students approach their class scheduling with these same or comparable interests in mind. Therefore, to the extent that classes are offered that provide students with the knowledge and training they need to address their unique needs in life in a more accessible manner is the extent to which more learners can reasonably be expected to avail themselves of these courses.
