The first chapter in The Practice of American Public Policymaking lays out what the book examines in the succeeding chapters. First, Briggs and Helms (2015) define policymaking as “the activities, actors, institutions, practices, and technologies that combine to ‘deliver the goods’ to the American people” (p. 3). Public policy is defined as “the art and science of producing results” (p. 3). Thus, the book is primarily about American public policymaking and the focus is on conception and practice, which means that both the development and the implementation of policy are covered in the following chapters. Implementation is especially important because it refers to the process of monitoring and evaluating policy. Reliance Industries was founded by the Ambani family in the 1960s in Maharashtra, manufacturing synthetic fabrics. The company went public in 1977. Chairman and MD of the company is Mukesh Ambani and the Ambani family controls 46.32% of the company’s shares, which are listed on the National Stock Exchange of India. The company currently oversees 158 subsidiaries and has 7 associate firms with nearly 30,000 employees (Reliance Industries, Limited, 2019). From the 1960s to the 1980s, the company was managed by its founder Dhirubhai Ambani; but after suffering a stroke, Dhirubhai gave control of daily operations to his sons Mukesh and Anil. When Dhirubhai died in 2002, Mukesh and Anil assumed control of management of the whole company. The positive psychology arena has undergone swift expansion in the last ten years, with studies explicitly highlighting the significance of examining processes, conditions, and factors improving wellbeing, facilitating psychological prosperity, and optimizing human functioning (Gable & Haidt, 2005; Seligman & Csikszentmihalyi, 2000). In as far as appearances are concerned, the Washington Navel orange happens to have a rounded shape and is small to medium in size. One of the many distinguishing features of this particular tree are the white flowers which are scented. The canopy of the tree also appears droopy. In mid winder, the tree supplies seedless oranges that are rather tasty – making this particular variety ideal as either a commercial venture or as a past-time activity in a home orchid setting. It is important to note that the flesh of the fruit is firm and has a distinguishing deep color. The taste of the fruit could also be described as tangy and distinctly sweet.
