Problem Statement
Peak must decide on a pricing strategy for entering the Brazilian market. It has narrowed its options down to three: penetration pricing, skim pricing and cost-plus pricing. This report will evaluate the company, the market and each of these three options in order to determine the best choice of pricing strategy when entering the Brazilian market.
Concept/Theory: SWOT Analysis
The SWOT analysis is a tool whereby the company analyzes its internal strengths and weaknesses, and its external threats and opportunities, in order to provide some context for the decision that it is facing. The strategy that the company chooses should in some way reflect either leveraging strengths to take advantage of opportunities or to shore up weaknesses in order to defend against threats. The Provisional IRA formed in response to a war between the Irish Republican Army and the British state in Northern Ireland from 1969 to 1998. The IRA or what is commonly referred to as the IRA in the West was actually a breakaway from the Army and is better known as PIRA in Ireland. However, because it stood as the fighting force and face of the Irish resistance, it is typically referred to as IRA for short. While terrorist groups are rarely defended by non-members, there is often the sense among objective observers that not all members of a religion that may be said to have “spawned” terrorism are terrorists or sympathetic to terrorism themselves. Because the counselor’s work depends on emotionally connecting with others, it is important to maintain strict vigilance of one’s own emotions, particularly emotions that correspond to those expressed by clients. Learning to read emotional cues in self and others is an essential emotional intelligence strategy I will incorporate into my work. Starting with myself, being aware of emotions means first tuning into the body. Emotions manifest first as physiological responses to some type of trigger—triggers that include our own thoughts. Instead of labeling the physiological response prematurely, I can simply notice that response for what it is and reframe it with clear intent to unpack what the response represents and how I can manage that response effectively.
