How Does Philosophy Relate To Biblical Studies

Historically, Biblical theology and philosophy had so many things in common and thus complemented each other. Philosophers and theologians even considered themselves mortal enemies in certain cases. Most Christianity doctrines have critical implications or pre-suppositions on philosophy. The discussion begins with the relationship between philosophy and Christianity. It then defined Biblical Theology based on three Christian doctrines that influence philosophy. They include the trinity, the atonement and the incarnation. The paper excludes other doctrines such as those about God’s attributes and providence because they are not unique to Christianity. Also, unlike the doctrine of Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist and the origin of sin, the three doctrines have long been discussed and used in relation to philosophy over many decades ago (Amanze, 2012).

Young women are primary victims of domestic violence and it has been estimated that every minute, 20 people suffer from domestic violence in the U.S. (NCADV, 2017). Qualitative researchers have a number of different research strategies available to them, including case studies, phenomenology, grounded theory and ethnography. Each of these research strategies has its respective strengths and weaknesses, but ethnography in particular represents a special challenge since it seeks to learn more about a group of people from the perspective of an insider. The purpose of this paper is to provide a review of the relevant literature to identify and describe and benefits of ethnographical research as a strategy for developing a better understanding concerning the lived experiences of others. A critique of Dr. Loïc Wacquant’s ethnographical work and a discussion concerning its implications for social change are followed by a description concerning the potential impact of research in supporting positive social change through public policy in the paper’s conclusion.

The moral argument consists of four components—moral facts, moral knowledge, moral transformation and moral rationality. As Baggett and Walls point out, the most pertinent moral facts are concerned with moral duties and values, particularly what is known as intrinsic human value.[footnoteRef:2] The question raised, of course, is where does intrinsic human value come from if not from God? Nature itself seems incapable of instilling in the human shell this universal sense of value. This is a particular fact that has to be dealt with in order to understand why the moral argument is necessarily a theistic argument, which is what this paper will argue. Moral knowledge, transformation and rationality all support the argument as well. The acquisition of Pixar by Disney in 2006 is an example of vertical merger, which is best described as a merger that occurs between two firms that work at separate and distinct stages of the production process. By merging operations, the two firms become one and their oversight of the production process is made that much more complete. Prior to the merger, Pixar produced films and Disney released them, marketed them, and so on. After the merger, the entire process would be overseen by Disney with Pixar leaders still playing a fundamental role in the creative development phases of production (Jain, 2013). ...Manners The most common contributors to personal workplace stress are long hours, heavy workload, organizational change, deadlines, job insecurity, overbearing bosses, unfriendly workers, and stigmatization (Victoria State Government, 2019). However, stress from outside the workplace can also manifest in the workplace. If a worker is experiencing stress at home, from the family, or financial pressures, or too busy of a schedule because of work and schooling and so on, all of these factors could add up and cause the employee to feel stressed at work. Dealing with other workers who feel stressed can compound stress and make it contagious in a sense.
