...Languages Simulation – Role playing exercise negotiation skills assessment
Role Playing Exercise
Introduction
Relationships are crucial in any negotiation—in fact they are the bedrock of negotiation, as there can be no negotiation without first establishing the foundation of relationship. The relationship need not be identical to friendship, but it must be workable and rooted in respect. In the role playing exercise “Lost at Sea,” the items listed in Appendix A were ranked in order of importance, with 1 being the most important and 15 being the least important to a group of sailors lost in a life raft at sea after their ship had sunk. The fishing kit has been ranked most important, for instance, because it was viewed as a means of obtaining food for the group. The rum was ranked least important because it would only dehydrate and dull the senses. Among a group of sailors, the captain should……

...Languages Abstract
Gestalt is a German word signifying a pattern or shape. The roots of Gestalt therapy can be traced to Max Wertheimer, who studied human perceptual illusions. Wertheimer’s research led to a holistic view of the human psyche that provided a necessary counterpoint to the fragmented, reductionist, and structuralist views that prevailed in research psychology. Gestalt therapy emerged after blending the principles of Gestalt with the goals of psychotherapy. In particular, Gestalt therapists like Frederick “Fritz” Perls used the concept of a Gestalt to emphasize the importance of holism in psychotherapy. Humanism also became a cornerstone of Gestalt therapy, which promotes an “I/Thou” therapeutic relationship based on points of contact between individuals who are connected in an integrated social network. Group therapy and art therapy are also methods used in Gestalt psychology.
Although the phrase may seem out of vogue, Gestalt psychology underwrites a lot of contemporary psychotherapies and therapeutic……

...Languages Are children overmedicated in regards to ADD and ADHD?
Introduction
According to a report by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 10,000 children could be receiving psych stimulant medication, e.g., Methylphenidate referred to as Ritalin. This report lead was reported by among others, the media indicates that children are being overmedicated, because of mainly the notably high numbers (Insel). Also, a study by the University of Florida College of Pharmacy showed that there is about a 40% chance of having three-year-olds who have been diagnosed with ADHD taking up to three kinds of mental health drugs by the time they are aged eight years old (Lea Reynolds). These drugs include anticonvulsants, antipsychotics, and other multi-mental health drugs. The findings of these two reports bring to the forefront the claim that children with ADD or ADHD are being overmedicated (Lea Reynolds). This essay, therefore, seeks to argue this……

1. Most Americans over the age of 65 have the ability to enroll in Medicare part A and Medicare part B. Medicare Part A is what is known as “hospital insurance”, and “helps pay for inpatient care in a hospital or limited time at a skilled nursing facility (following a hospital stay). Part A also pays for some health care and hospice care”, according to the Social Security Administration.
The Medicare website outlines some specific things within each of these broad categories. For example, under hospital care Medicare Part A covers semi-private rooms, meals, general nursing, drugs as part of your inpatient treatment, and other hospital services and supplies.
In a skilled nursing care unit, you are covered for meals, semi-private room, skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology services, medications, medical social services, medical supplies and equipment used in the facility, ambulance transportation, dietary counseling,……

...Languages Introduction
The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), the co-beneficiary of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1947, was established in Philadelphia by individuals from the Religious Society of Friends (i.e., the Quakers) in Spring 1917. The link between AFSC and the Religious Society of Friends was always tenuous as the activism of the organization was something universal that many non-Quakers around the world could celebrate, while the actual tenets of Quakerism were not nearly as popular as the peace movement that the Religious Society of Friends took part in. Initially, the goals of the committee were limited; however, over the 20th century, AFSC epitomized the pacifist convictions and social-change driving forces of Philadelphia’s Quaker-led world-class fight for peace (Ingle, 2016). The AFSC essentially helped to support and come to the aid of the victims of war, whether they were Jewish, Russian, European, African, etc. (Frost, 1992). This paper will discuss the……

...Languages Outsourcing some part of business operations can have benefits in the supply chain, as shown for example in the Darden supply chain, where the cutting of salmon to the proper sizes for its restaurants and the peeling of shrimp are both outsourced to offshore companies because those companies provide what Darden requires at higher quality, to specifications and at lower cost than can be had at domestic suppliers or domestic restaurants (Heizer, Render & Munson, 2016). Thus following a strategy of outsourcing can reap benefits for a business that understands the options that globalization opens up for the company. With transportation and technology so advanced today, oversight and on-time delivery are much more readily achievable than in days past.
Supply chain issues that are unique for a company sourcing from 35 or more countries include transportation issues, freshness at time of delivery, cost, quality of product, and specifications being met.……
