...Doubt The Male Birth Control Pill: An Overview of the Debate
Pregnancy has traditionally been socially constructed as a female concern, even though two people are needed to get pregnant—a man and a woman. The male birth control pill has only been piloted relatively recently in the history of medicine. The challenge of manufacturing a male birth control level is keeping testosterone levels low enough to ensure there is no risk of pregnancy without creating averse health risks, including low libido. But there are also cultural obstacles, including the lingering perception that birth control is still primarily a female responsibility.
The most recent trial of a male birth control pill involved 40 healthy men (ages 18 to 50) and a control group of 10 including 10 who received a placebo (Nedelman & Gumbrecht, 2019). Side effects included “fatigue, headache, acne, decreased libido and mild erectile dysfunction,” which some people have humorously……

Mission command is defined in the Army Doctrine Publication 6-0 as “the exercise of authority and direction by the commander using mission orders to enable disciplined initiative within the commander's intent to empower agile and adaptive leaders in the conduct of unified land operations” (McBride & Snell, 2017). The philosophy and concepts of mission command can be found in the six guiding principles of mission command, which are: 1) using mutual trust to build a cohesive team, 2) creating a sense of shared understanding, 3) being clear about what the commander’s intent is, 4) exercising an initiative that is disciplined, 5) using mission orders, and 6) accepting prudent risk (Hutchings, 2018). Thus, one can see that the most important concepts in the philosophy of mission command are trust, communication, understanding, discipline, guidance and prudence. From the 18th century onward, advancements in chemistry, biology, and physics paved the way for forensic science (Gaensslen & Larsen, 2019). Likewise, the routine use of autopsy and forensic pathology helped improve the ability to understand the causes of death (Gaensslen & Larsen, 2019). Forensic science steadily evolved, in conjunctions with advancements in scientific instruments and the methods used for data collection and analysis.
