...College The United States Army has a history of instilling and enforcing discipline within its ranks. However, with every passing year come changes in the way society thinks and acts. New social values are created and fostered, and leaders in the U.S. Army must address these changes in order to maintain continuity of standards and discipline from one generation to the next (Wardynski). Thus, as the new generation of soldiers enters the United States Army, new challenges await leadership. The evolving world of social media is just one of the challenges that require leaders to be proactive in their approach to army standards and its enforcement. Soldiers have access to the internet in a deployed environment and use this platform in positive ways but also use social media in ways that bring harm to the Army values and heritage. Leaders need to walk a fine line between the soldiers rights to……

...College Women Creating Culture: Sofonisba Anguissola, Mary Wollstonecraft and Emily Dickinson
Introduction
While the patriarchal heritage of the West commonly references the contributions of men to history and culture, the West would not be what it is today without the contributions to culture made by women as well. This paper will look at the contributions of three women in particular—Sofonisba Anguissola, the Italian Renaissance painter whose skill caught the attention of Michelangelo and ultimately won her a position in the court of King Phillip II of Spain; Mary Wollstonecraft, whose Vindication of the Rights of Women in the 18th century opened the door for the 19th and 20th centuries’ women’s movements; and Emily Dickinson, whose poetry of the 19th century was lauded by second wave feminists such as Adrienne Rich, who identified Dickinson as an important inspiration in her own work. These women helped shape but were also shaped by their……

...College 1. Name the three (3) separate government components that make-up the U.S. Criminal justice system and explain their function and how they work together?
The three separate government components that make-up the U.S. Criminal justice system comprise of courts, law enforcement, and corrections. Imperatively, these components are dependent on one another and one would not necessarily be beneficial devoid of the others. First of all, the courts are reliant on the law enforcement to legally gather and comprehensively record and document all evidence and statements made. Secondly, law enforcement works in tandem with the courts in regard to serving warrants and subpoenas. The third component of the justice system, corrections, are employed in making certain that criminals remain under confinement, facilitate the transportation of convicts to hearings, and also partake in the supervision of individuals subsequent to their release from custody. What is more, the courts make certain that the……

...College Intellectual property can be described as any exceptional product of human intellect or the mind. Some common examples of intellectual properties include software, music, symbols, movies, designs, symbols, words and phrases. Similar to other properties, intellectual property is safeguarded by relevant laws that seek to protect the interests of creators. These laws seek to achieve this by giving the creators rights over their respective creations. However, the protection of intellectual property is associated with some ethical issues and concerns. This paper discusses intellectual property ethics in relation to intellectual property rights and intellectual property theft. The discussion includes an overview of laws relating to safeguarding intellectual property rights and a brief analysis of the Robin Thicke/Blurred Lines lawsuit.

Technologies that parents use to look after their children include baby monitors, cell phones and GPS locators. Baby monitors are used to allow parents to be in another part of the house while the child is asleep or playing in a play pen. The parent can hear if the child cries and needs something. The parent can be busy with some other activity without fear or worry of abandoning the child because the parent is still connected via the baby monitor.
The cell phone can be used to reach out and call the older child or to post on social media or see what content the child is posting. The cell phone allows for both a quick and convenient way to contact the child and a way to monitor the child from a distance by looking at the child’s social media content. This is a window into the……

...College Abusive Relationships, Patterns of Violence, the Future of the Family
Part 1
Some women remain in abusive relationships for different reasons. Some are scared to leave. Others feel that they still love the person so to leave because they are being abused would be wrong. Some see the abuse as a trade-off that comes with the security the person provides, such as money, shelter, etc. Sometimes there is a co-dependency and the person feels that life would not be any better without the person because there is going to be abuse in life no matter what. Women sometimes think they deserved it or that they made the person upset and that it was just for the man to beat or abuse them.
According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (2017), African American women are the most likely to suffer from abuse, as 40% of black women experience violence from……
