The cinematography in the Coen Brothers’ film is absolutely gorgeous and stunning. Three places that the cinematography stood out to me were when the young girl arrives in the town to obtain the services of Rooster Cogburn and witnesses the … the hanging of three men. The scene is shot simply but effectively without overdoing the drama of the scene. Another excellent moment of cinematography is when Rooster is racing to get the girl to the medic at the end of the film. The horse is shown galloping … grave of Cogburn, her arm gone from where it was cut off. She walks away into the distance in a stunning piece of cinematography.

Camera angles determine how an audience interacts with a character in a film they are watching. This makes shot angles and camera angles some of the most significant aspects of a production. The emotions a character is going through can be highlighted by having the camera focus on them. When they are vulnerable, the camera can focus on them from a high angle. Further, the kinds of cameras employed in the film are important since scenes are shot with different cameras and then edited together. In Captain America: The First Avenger, the emphasis is on the key viewpoints and elements so as to inspire different emotions in the audience. It is possible that a greater perception of space as portrayed in the film leads to the audience being better able to empathize with the film’s audience. The period between 1970 and 2000 marked a significant change in the film industry as it was the second Golden Age of Hollywood. During this period, filmmaking experienced significant growth due to experimentation with new ideas. The experimentation not only facilitated the production of new movies, but also resulted in changes that included the incorporation of global prestige. This period is regarded as the second Golden Age of Hollywood because the old studio systems that dominated 1930s films broke down totally. In addition, the period was characterized by loosening of restrictions on obscenity, sexual content and violence (A&E Television Networks, 2018). As a result, film directors started making groundbreaking controversial content while others retained a romantic theme in their movies.
