Letter to Tutor

Dear (Insert Recipients name),

Thank you for your email regarding my recent submission. I would like to allay your concerns, reassure you of my integrity, and emphasize the hard work I have undertaken to produce the final paper.

Your first concern regards the appearance of different formatting between the original PDF file and the subsequent Word document. After submitting the paper I had travelled to Washington, leaving my own laptop at home. It was only after arriving in Washington that I realized I would need to change the document to a Word format. To make sure the required change was made and resubmitted in a timely manner I downloaded the original PDF file onto my brothers' computer, and then I converted it into a Word document using Microsoft Word. It is that file that was submitted.

Your second concern regards the high level word choices made in writing the paper, and the way sentences were formatted. I can categorically assure you that the work is all my own work, and worked very hard to make sure I could achieve the best possible mark. Before I started writing my final I undertook a lot of research, reading a lot of articles, and I hoped to improve not only my knowledge by reading the articles, but also develop my own writing style by learning from these articles. As I read I took extensive notes, with the aim of paraphrasing the ideas in my own worlds, while ensuring I credited the originators with the correct citations. I found that rewriting or paraphrasing some of the more complex sentences from the articles helped my understanding as well as helping to develop my writing skills. The term "evinced little sign of abating" I believe I first came across when reading the student research guide, and also read it in several other articles. The phrase "...objections hold that animals are objectified and commoditized with man simply creating (or cloning) at will." came from Ethical Issues in Animal Cloning by Autumn Fiester University of Pennsylvania, -- .upenn.edu), which I referenced in full the last page.

I would like to assure you of my hard work and commitment to this course, and to the diligent completion of my coursework. I have, and continue, to work very hard to improve all of my academic skills, including my critical thinking and written skills. I may have only achieved a low grad in my nanotechnology final, but this was not representative of my true potential due to a medical problem at the time. At the time I was suffering from a chronic ulcerative condition, which necessitates the use of medications that creates a kind of 'brain fog', this can include confusion, difficulty in processing information, and forgetfulness. I am sure that this is only a temporary situation.

For my final paper I worked…
