Pages: 3 (1044 words) Sources: 5 Document Type:Essay Document #:46746942

...United states Online Access and Culture
Access to the Internet has been linked to a number of different influences over culture. As a new means of communication, the Internet has transformed how culture is disseminated around the world, but it has also had a significant influence on how culture is created. All told, the influence of the online access to culture is far-reaching, and there are few touchpoints of culture that have not been subject to the influence of the Internet. Yet, there is often a temptation to oversimplify the influence that the Internet has had on culture, and cultures. This paper will provide an overview of some of the most important among the complex interactions between online access and culture.
Autonomy
One of the major themes in the discussion of the influence of the Internet on culture is the outcome of greater autonomy. The Internet has become the world’s largest store……

Children S Viewpoint Of Their Stepparents

Pages: 5 (1707 words) Document Type:Essay Document #:382730

...United states Abstract

In modern-day, the chance of a child being raised by a stepmother or stepfather keeps increasing. Families are more likely to divorce than it was in earlier days. Moreover, getting children outside wedlock is a common practice and occurrence lately. Divorced parents are commonly remarrying too. While it is not an easy task to figure out the rate of prevalence of the trend, some estimates suggest that in the USA alone, approximately 10% of the two-parent families that exist are either cohabiting or married stepfamilies. The same study indicates that about 25% of children will spend some time with a stepfamily in their life. The increasing stepfamily formations are of concern as far as the wellbeing of children is concerned. Earlier studies already show that children raised in stepfamilies have a lower chance of physical and mental wellbeing compared to their counterparts raised by both biological parents. The study,……

Energy Industry Security

Pages: 2 (574 words) Sources: 5 Document Type:Essay Document #:28032329

...United states Climate change and extreme weather events pose certain risks to the energy industry and infrastructure (Maras, 2014). Vulnerabilities within the largely private energy industry pertain to regional issues: for example, in the Southeast, the energy industry sits mainly in low-lying areas where flooding can occur in the wake of hurricanes or storms. Flooding here can impair oil and gas production during certain parts of the year. In other parts of the year, heat waves there and in other regions of the U.S. can cause increased demand on the electric good and potentially lead to brownouts or blackouts. High winds in the California region have led to the electric companies implementing deliberate blackouts to reduce the risk of fires caused by damaged electric wires (Department of Energy, 2019). In other parts of the country, seasonal droughts and lack of snowfall can lead to declines in hydroelectric output which negatively impacts the……

The purpose of this paper is to provide the results of an interview with an emergency preparedness administrator at a Midwestern VA medical center that operates in the state’s capital city. Finally, a summary of the interview results is followed by a recapitulation of the research in the conclusion.

Pages: 6 (1735 words) Sources: 30 Document Type:Research Proposal Document #:38504275

...United states A Urate Lowering Intervention
Hypertension speaks to a noteworthy general medical issue. Around the world, roughly one-fourth of the grown-up populace has hypertension. Epidemiological and trial studies propose a linkage between Hyperuricemia and hypertension. Hyperuricemia influences 30?45 % of patients with untreated hypertension. A much lower commonness has been accounted for in normotensives or the overall public. “Be that as it may, in the case of bringing down serum uric Acid (SUA) may lower pulse or blood pressure is an unanswered inquiry.” (Hussar, 2010, p.70). High serum urate focus is a settled causative factor for the improvement of gouty joint inflammation. There is developing enthusiasm for a job for serum urate as a contributing component for the improvement or compounding of vascular, heart, and renal illness. The relationship between serum urate levels and Blood pressure (BP) has been depicted for a long time. Proof from creature studies gives solid help……
