These signs are part of the standards used to indicate the end of a given military operation. They actually point out that the military is no longer the main device in the government’s hand in accomplishing further goals. As such, it is important for the military end state to be definite and straightforward. A number of easily determinable signs should be provided. The military should also be able to come to these signs in the course of its operations.
