" (Livingston, 2003) Kensington is stated to be an "area of growth" in Mayor Livingston's 2003 Report further stating that "employment fell in much of east and south London." (Livingston, 2003)

Nationally it is stated that 'half of all adults regularly visit pubs on weekends and one-fifth of all adults visit them during the week." Further states by Mayor Livingston is that "Eighty percent of nightclub sales are generated at weekends." Britain has total sales in pubs of approximately 13.8 billion pounds per year with approximately 40,700 pubs in existence throughout Britain. The market for visiting high street bars is experiencing rapid growth with sales at "75 billion pounds in 2002 totally one-fifth of the total market for pubs." There are 233 London nightclubs in existence, which equals 15% of the total across Britain. It was estimated by GLA that the drinking industry generated 2.35 billion pounds to the economy in London during the year 2002. (Livingston, 2003) Three-quarter so the nightclub market is scattered across the ownership of small operators in the hundreds. (Livingston, 2003) the presence of new competition has led to a focus in consolidation within core companies in the industry.

Summary

There appears to be a lucrative and viable market for exploit in this area as well as in the format chosen for the "Suite 16" nightclub. Start-up funding appears to be sufficient for the renovation, stocking, hiring of employees, and other necessities to open business. Licenses should be acquired for the business, the serving of alcohol products and for the playing of recorded music. This appears to be a sound business investment with the potential for a substantial return on investment under the proper managerial conditions.
