I had to broaden my understanding on medication and diagnostics test in order to treat and diagnose patient with CHF. This insight not only helped me better design my EBP clinical pathway, but taught me much in the way of pedagogical instruction vis-a-vis other RNS, and will help me listen better to patients/family members who have questions.

I gained valuable knowledge as I met my intended accomplishments by learning a variety of strategies for planning and reviewing my work. I learned that you are your greatest critic.

My research and preparation also infused me with the knowledge and understanding that optimal patient care requires the nurses to understand the importance of proper documentation. I learned that well-documented discharge instructions that meet all CHF core measures could ensure the hospital's credibility, as well as, providing patients with basic quality care.

Based on the diversity of nurses' skills, I concluded that an evidence-based CHF clinical pathway must be made a top priority for re-orienting nurses to the proper care and documentation. It is essential to understand how care has been delivered historically and why there is a need for a disease-management approach. It is my hope that with the development of a clinical pathway, nurses will be given a tool that will provide safe and high quality care to patients.

Summarily, the knowledge that I gained from this learning strategy taught me to engage each participant in the learning process, to diversify teaching methods, to practice active listening and empathy when involving others. It also taught me the benefit of collaboration, as well as the advantage of being able to understand and conduct statistical and scientific research. My personal skills have been augmented, as well as my abilities as a teacher. Were I to instruct those same RNs again, I would incorporate an element of instructional creativity and practical factors that facilitate integration of the change into attainable knowledge. Preparing for such a lecture, however, would involve more…

One should, however, note, among issues to be improved in the future, the inability to uniformly distribute teaching attention among different areas of study. The example with Jenna is eloquent in this sense. The excitement over an obviously gifted child in certain areas led to the

Amy attended the county's administrator forum, it became clear that the rumor mill about the "Good Ole' Boys" network was not exaggerated. Sitting across the table from fifteen district superintendents, not one in the bunch was a woman. There was only one other woman in assembled group, who like Amy held a lower position on her district's administrative team. Just as Amy had done her entire career, she made

Distance learning, sometimes called "distance education" is, according to Kerka (1996), a method of education in which the learner is physically separated from the professor and the institution sponsoring the instruction. Distance education may be used on its own, or in conjunction with other forms of education, including face-to-face instruction. The advent of television and, indeed, the whole complex of newer communications media (from video to satellites) has given American citizens
