His amazing pitching skills, which include throwing the ball, catching fly balls, and other physical activities, has made him famous both in his native country of Taiwan and in New York City. He has immense talent, which encompasses the category of personal attributes in the sport role model. His talent is what brought him to the New York Yankees from Asia. This is positive because it keeps him wanting to stay in the United States. One of the social situations which keep him going is the adoration of his fans in Taiwan which keep him motivated to perform in the United States. However, this can be both positive and negative. It is positive in that it keeps him motivated, but is also negative because it hinders his life while in Taiwan. It seems as though Chien-Ming Wang has become partially acculturated to the United States. He misses the food, and enjoys playing ball here. Although his family and wife and his friends Hu and Kuo are in Taiwan, making him always miss his native country.
