In other words, Save the Children manages to improve the conditions of the individuals and of the community.

Given the difference between the objectives of nonprofit and for profit organizations, it seems to be more difficult to efficiently manage a nonprofit organization in comparison with a company. This is because individuals working in nonprofit organizations cannot be financially motivated in order to reach the efficiency and quality standards imposed by the organization's managers. A good leadership strategy consists in the collaboration between organizations. There are numerous nonprofit organizations, and some of them address the same issue or category of people, and also activate in the same area. This creates a competition situation in such cases, if one can accept the possibility of competition in the nonprofit sector. Such organizations should collaborate in order to achieve their common objectives in the area in case and set an example to be followed by the personnel working for these organizations and by the community. Also, in order for the nonprofit organization to increase its efficiency, it is recommended that the personnel working for them are members of the community addressed by the organization. This increases the level of responsibility and dedication of personnel, therefore increasing the efficiency of the organization. Managers in the nonprofit sector must find new strategies intended to motivate personnel. In order to achieve this objective, it is recommended to develop and implement strategies designed to increase the level of responsibility and adhesion to the problems of the community.

The most important trend that characterizes the nonprofit sector is represented by the collaboration between nonprofit organizations and companies, and the increasing implication of corporations in the life of the community in which they activate. This allows nonprofit organizations to improve their efficiency. Also, individuals' implication in causes supported by nonprofit organizations influences the development of this sector. It seems that the number of people that donate to charitable organizations or that support such organizations is different manners is increasing. However, the economic and financial crisis has also affected the nonprofit sector on different levels. For example, the financial possibilities of these organizations have been reduced, which impedes these organizations to reach their goals and objectives. This means that nonprofit organizations must find ways to increase their financial possibilities by improving their relationship with the government and with private companies.
