For instance, New York fair employment practice is governed by the New York State Human Rights Law and bans discrimination on the basis of age, race, creed, complexion, citizenship, disability, gender inclusive of pregnancy and/or marital status. The state law provisions under the Human Rights Law regarding disability happened to be a wider compared to the prohibition under the federal laws, however are considerably akin to those under the Americans with Disabilities Act. -- ADA.
