Event management is an activity geared towards ensuring the success of a particular event, festivals and conferences. It involves several processes that an event manager should acquaint himself with. However, throughout the whole process of event management, an event manager can face unexpected occurrences that need immediate reaction. Such kind of an unanticipated occurrence requires event manager to be creative enough to come up with an immediate response to save the situation. Hence, crisis management is part of the whole process of event management.

In the given scenario, there seems to be a need for an immediate attention on getting a reliable power backup. Hence, there are several options you should explore to manage the crisis. One of the possible options that you can think of is calling the building electrical engineer. He can agree to get back at the conference facility in time. That can relieve you from many worries about resolving the problem of inadequate power supply to the refrigeration. However, the possibility of him returning is quite remote. He can only be in a position to give an explanation over the phone on how to address the issue. The only problem is that you have inadequate know how on execution of technical instructions, thus rendering this option less helpful.
