Leonato, Claudio, and Don Pedro have been discussing Beatrice's love, albeit fabricated, for Benedick, and he (Benedick) has overheard. On stage, alone, he thinks about these developments and resolves to reciprocate the love. He quips, "for I will be terribly in love with her" (II.iii.208). This section is obviously meant to elicit humor, as it is realistically impossible to fall so deeply in love with a person just by knowing their virtues. The intention to elicit humor can also be perceived in the use of the word … the battle of wits between these two.

Shareholder theory posits that a corporation’s sole responsibility is to maximize the return on investment (ROI) for shareholders.
