Explanation

Provide a description of your company and employees.

The company is question is Allure Car Company. The company is in its first year and has twenty-five employees. The company operates out of New York. In addition, the owner of the company expects that the business will generate about $100,000 in revenue in its first year and a growth of 5% every fiscal year subsequently. More so, the company expects a turnover growth of 10% every year from now on for a period of three years.

How will you assess employees? (For example, will you make performance appraisals? Will you rank employees?)

The basic approach that I will use to assess the employees of the company will be through a behavior-based rating system and a secondary evaluator that is based on the results of the employees. In particular, I will appraise the personnel using the Likert scale, which is a very common approach for several surveys and performance measure. The scale will evaluate the performance of the personnel according to the following norms and grading criteria:

1. Always performing

2. Very often performing

3. Fairly often behaving

4. Occasionally performing

5. Never performing

How will you provide feedback? What kind of feedback will you provide?

I intend to carry out rankings and performance measures regularly and provide feedback to the employees. In particular, I believe that the feedback given to the employees ought not to be aggressive or hurtful. Rather, I will make certain that the feedback I give is one that is nurturing and in a professional manner. More so, I will make sure that the feedbacks given are ones that are private between the personnel and the manager so as to generate a form of trust between the personnel and the manager or the interviewer.

Will you use micromanagement or macro management? Explain how you will accomplish this.

In this case, I will largely make use of micromanagement. I believe that service industries need to be particular, sensitized and responsive to clients in order to earn goodwill. The main way in which I will accomplish this is by making sure that every decision made by the head of every department is run by me to ensure that it is right decision made.

How will you reward the top employees? How will you handle lower-performing employees?

The employees who are top in the rankings will be rewarded by bonuses for their good work. These bonuses will be granted at the end of every financial year. On the other hand, the lower-performing employees will be offered training programs all over gain in order to make certain that they have grasped the programs being implemented…
