Student College Portals and Resources

With the growing popularity of online universities and most brick-and-mortar universities offering online class options, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is easier than ever to find high-quality academic resources online.  To help you find the right resource for your project, we have compiled the top college login websites and resources that students are using to get their work done, along with some information about each resource. 

MySNHU

Southern New Hampshire University

Southern New Hampshire University is a private, nonprofit accredited educational institution with a small 3,000-person campus and a large online presence of over 135,000 students and 100,000 alumni.  It was founded in 1932, long-before online learning was a possibility, but it has quickly become an innovator in distance learning.  It offers a wide-range of degrees in everything from STEM to business to liberal arts.  It also offers different degree levels, up to and including doctoral degrees.  The SNHU online login is for students with a login ID and password and offers access to a wide-range of academic resources, including an extensive library of online resources. 

TUPortal

Temple University

Founded in 1884, Temple University in Philadelphia has been a well-recognized research institution for decades, and its movement into distance learning has meant that people outside of the Philadelphia area can explore its over 500 academic programs.  A public university, Temple may be best known for its Philadelphia campus, but also has international campuses and a robust study-abroad program.  Temple offers course work through advanced degrees and even post-graduate or continuing education in professional fields including dentistry, podiatry, pharmacy, medicine, and law.  The TU Portal is for students with a login ID and password, which allows access to the school’s various online libraries and academic resources, as well as their practical student-management programs. 

CSUF Portal

California State University

The California State University system is composed of 23 campuses across the state of California, which educate a combined 482,000 students each year.  This huge student combination means that CSU has one of the most diverse student populations of any educational system around the world.  The Fullerton location is a medium-sized campus with just under 40,000 students, and offers both undergraduate and graduate programming.  It offers distance learning even to non-CSUF students through its Open University program. 

CUNY Blackboard

City University of New York

The City University of New York (CUNY) is a public education institution in New York City, with 25 campus locations located in all five boroughs.  It has long been an affordable education option for the people of New York City, and as it has expanded into the digital education atmosphere, it has brought that same accessibility to people outside of NYC, as well.  You need a CUNY First account to login to the CUNY Blackboard, but it is also one of the few college resource websites that allows guests to login.  The Blackboard system is designed to support online learning, teaching, and turning in coursework. It is a more comprehensive system than some of the online libraries available from other universities because it is specifically designed for the delivery of online materials and activities, which can be used for complete coursework or as an enhancement for classroom-delivered learning.

University of Texas at San Antonio

The University of Texas is a large public university system in the state of Texas.  The University of Texas at San Antoni is one of its branches.  It is the largest university in the San Antonio region, with more than 32,000 students and four campuses in the San Antonio metro area.  In addition, it offers distance learning opportunities.  It offers graduate and undergraduate study opportunities, with opportunities in liberal and fine arts, business, education and human development, engineering, architecture, health and community policy, and the sciences.  UTSA Blackboard offers a variety of resources for call management including online courses, online coursework, and online libraries for research.  Students will need a MYUTSA ID and password to log into the UTSA blackboard. 

UTSA ASAP

University of Texas at San Antonio

UTSA ASAP is the University of Texas at San Antonio’s online automated student access program.  It is not their online learning portal, but is where students can register for classes, order transcripts, add or drop classes, apply for and accept financial aid, order parking permits, apply for graduation, do online degree planning, check registration status, and check admissions application status.

GCU Student Portal

Grand Canyon University

Grand Canyon University is a private Christian university in Phoenix, Arizona.  It offers both online and on-campus courses.  It offers graduate and undergraduate coursework.  Their student portal offers access for students, faculty, and parents and facilitates their online learning program. 

MYTC

Texarkana College

Texarkana College is a Texas college located in Texarkana, Texas, with a primary service area of Bowie County, Texas.  It offers a number of dual-credit classes for high school students in the surrounding area.  It also offers online or distance learning opportunities for students.  MyTC is an online learning environment that offers student-specific information and resources for students who are enrolled in Texarkana College.   

Mindtap

Cengage

An innovative education-assistance portal, Mindtap by Cengage is just another way that Cengage is expanding their non-credit and credited course offerings to people.  Cengage is a unique learning platform, which focuses on providing educational opportunities.  Some of these opportunities are in the form of continuing education or other credited coursework, which other opportunities are intended to supplement existing coursework and are used by homeschool and remote or distance learning students.  Cengage has offered helpful resources for families that have transitioned to distance learning during the COVID19 pandemic. 

ATI Login

ATI Testing

Passing the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is one of the most important steps in getting into nursing school.  The TEAS is a standardized admissions test that many nursing schools use to determine whether a potential candidate will be successful in nursing school, and they use that information to help with admissions decisions.  ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute) Nursing Education is the creator of the TEAS and offers a wide range of different tools to help people prepare for the test.  You will need your username and password to log into this site. 

MyASU

Arizona State University

Arizona State University (ASU) is one of the most robust distance-learning universities in the United States, offering over 5,000 courses online and flexible start dates that can work into people’s existing schedules.  In addition, they have five different campuses in the Phoenix area.  The MyASU portal is where they host their learning platform as well as a variety of different student resources that students use to research and to complete their work. 

Canvas at Michigan

University of Michigan

The University of Michigan is one of the most prestigious public universities in the United States.  It offers multiple campuses in the state of Michigan and also offers extensive distance learning options.  Canvas is the remote learning platform for the University of Michigan (UMich).  It offers training, help, workshops, modules, media gallery, zoom, and badges. 

MyUCF

University of Central Florida

The University of Central Florida is one of Florida’s most popular colleges and it has a long-established relationship with the space program.  UCF has 13 colleges, offering over 220 different degrees.  They serve undergraduate and graduate students.  The top ten majors at UCF are: psychology, health sciences, biomedical sciences, nursing, computer science, mechanical engineering, biology, integrated business, finance, and hospitality management.  On the MyUCF website, students can access courses, resources, career services, health services, financial aid, and their student accounts.  In addition, MyUCF has a mobile app. 

SDSU Blackboard

San Diego State University

San Diego State University has a campus in San Diego, but has offered virtual learning through the SDSU World Campus.  For the fall of 2020, they will offer mostly virtual learning in response to COVID-19.  They offer some innovative distance learning tools, and are developing a nursing education virtual simulation tool that may be helpful for distance learning during social distancing.  Their blackboard website offers virtual classrooms as well as access to libraries and other learning tools and information. 

Deltamath

Deltamath is a subscription-based math education service that offers comprehensive teaching services for students at various grades.  It is used by various educators and a student account is created with a code for a specific teacher.

Hokie SPA

Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is a well-known research institute with an emphasis on the application of real-life experiences to education.  They are expanding distance learning options to deal with the COVID 19 pandemic, not only for their undergraduate students, but also with COVID 19 specific-classes for healthcare workers.  Hokie SPA is Virginia Tech’s online portal, which is used to handle student accounts, manage online learning, and provide students access to online resources.

UF Canvas

University of Florida

The University of Florida offers a significant number of e-learning opportunities.  Their system is known as Canvas and the University of Florida offers some of the best training for their online learning platforms.  Their goals are to create an interactive environment, which simulates many of the advantages of a brick-and-mortar learning environment, while still offering the advantages of a distance-learning scenario. 

NYU Albert

New York University

Albert is New York University’s online course management system.  What separates it from many online campus portals is that NYU actually offers an ability for the public to search for courses in a variety of ways, including entering a course description.  This can be helpful for non-students who are looking to see if NYU offers courses that may appeal to them, either as full-time students, for continuing education opportunities, or to supplement their educations at other colleges or universities.

WileyPlus

WileyPlus is an online learning platform that teachers can use to set-up their courses and deliver materials to their students.  It has become increasingly popular since the COVID 19 pandemic resulted in most schools transitioning to a distance-learning format for Spring 2020, Summer 2020, and possibly Fall 2020.  Students access courses with information from their professor or instructor.

MySacState

Sacramento State University

Sacramento State University is a public university in the Sacramento area.  It is expanding distance learning opportunities in response to the COVID 19 pandemic.   Sacramento State University offers two types of student accounts: My SacLink Account and My Sac State.  My SacLink accounts are used to get access to a variety of campus resources.  These resources include campus email, My Sac State, Office 365, library databases, and the library databases.  Student applicants can get SacLink accounts.  My Sac State is a portal that is available to students, employees, and faculty.  For students, it offers the student center, online course registrations, links to Canvas (the online learning system), Smart Planner, the degree toolbox, grades, tuition and fee payment, financial aid information, and unofficial transcripts. 

UIC Blackboard

University of Illinois at Chicago

The University of Illinois at Chicago is Chicago’s largest and most diverse university and is considered a top-value in educational institutions as well as a great entry way for first- generation college students.  It has offered some distance-learning opportunities, which it is expanding in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.  This allows even distance learners to attend one of the nation’s top research institutions.  The UIC Blackboard is its online learning portal, which students can use to access their coursework, attend classes, and access class resources.
