Conflict in Healthcare SettingThis paper is designed to offer a short introduction of the selected DNP competencies, as they are pertinent to the present course. In light of this, it is necessary to provide a self-assessment of the learning that has been undertaken. Having engaged with the NR7520 course readings and discussion threads, as well as completed any relevant assignments, a judgment has been made regarding my skills, knowledge, and integrative abilities in order to meet certain DNP competencies. Furthermore, this essay will assess how effectively I feel prepared for future application of these principles upon graduation.Self-AssessmentEffective communication is key to conflict resolution, especially in healthcare (Abandu et al., 2019). A collaborative approach seeks to understand all perspectives in order to address complex issues. This can involve considerations such as regulatory, administrative and ethical responsibilities (Nystrom et al., 2018). It is important to stay open-minded and listen closely to different points of view. Utilizing insights into best practices and active listening can be beneficial in coming up with satisfactory solutions to complicated problems. Additionally, encouraging a safe environment, where voices are heard without judgment is a crucial step in conflict resolution (Sinclair et al., 2020).
