Case Incident 1: Sharing Is Performing
12-13. Shared leadership obstacles occur when there is no consensus or alignment in terms of vision. The leaders butt heads and block one another. They cannot agree or, worse, no one in the group wants to make the go-ahead decision. Leadership is about deferring and making decisions, so to solve these problems, the people need to be aware of the reality of their role and position.
12-14. I would implement a shared leadership initiative in a limited way because I would not want a committee mentality. I would want leaders to communicate and foster ideas but at the end of the day I want decision makers who make informed decisions calling the shots.
12-15. I think that traditional approaches to leadership are always to be preferred because not everyone wants to be a leader. Leaders have duties and responsibilities and they get……

...Motivation How Healthcare Policy Impacts APN
Explanation of how healthcare policy can impact the advanced practice nurse profession
The role of APN is to provide primary, specialty, and acute care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of those who seek healthcare services. Healthcare policies are meant to improve healthcare services, and thus, they affect the APN profession. However, the specific effect of any policy depends on the specific policy (Taft & Nanna, 2008). For example, one of the policies that affected the APN profession was the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This act, at its core, was to provide healthcare to the marginalized, to those with chronic sicknesses, and at the same time, more healthcare from the hospital in favor of outpatient.
Because of the nature of the ACA, the APN profession was impacted through the increment of persons seeking healthcare. There were more- and sicker patients entering the healthcare system, and thus,……

...Motivation The patient “Suzy” in this case study is a sexual assault victim, aged 28, married and female. She has 5 years of military service. Because of her military service, she was trained and disciplined in a culture renowned for praising strength and abhorring weakness. In the military, the code also centers on unity and spirit of mission. Soldiers who “betray” their fellow soldiers are seen as untrustworthy and can be ostracized and marginalized. Because Suzy was sexually assaulted while serving in the military, she did not report the assault, fearing that it would lead to her being labeled a bad soldier by the others. Instead, she attempted to cope with the assault and the trauma it caused her. In attempting to cope on her own, however, Suzy encountered depression, a loss of self-esteem and self-confidence; she developed a problem with substance abuse as well as with anxiety. She has stated……

...Motivation Abstract
Cyber espionage has become a critical component of modern cyber warfare as nation-states increasingly rely on cyberspace. However, cyber espionage had generated concerns regarding its acceptability given its potential threats to national security. This qualitative case study research explores the proposition that cyber security should be deemed an acceptable state behavior while cyber attack is unacceptable. This study seeks to answer the question, “How is cyber espionage an acceptable state behavior for intelligence gathering though it potentially damages relations between nation-states?” The qualitative case study examined existing studies on this issue and employed thematic analysis to analyze the data. The study found that cyber espionage is an acceptable state behavior since it plays a key role in cyber warfare, helps to establish appropriate countermeasures against cyberattacks and potential threats in cyberspace, and enhances intelligence gathering. While the study provides significant insights on this topic, future studies should examine the……
