Leopold von Ranke - The Secret of World History
Leopold von Ranke believed that history was related to politics in the sense that history identified the problems and their causes while, politics, invented in the 19th century according to Ranke, provided the solutions.[footnoteRef:2] In order for political solutions to be effectively developed and applied, history had to be understood critically.[footnoteRef:3] The best way to understand history critically was to examine the primary documents of history as opposed to the interpretations of these documents by historians of the present. Engaging with the actual texts of the past could allow one to see directly what the past had been about. Introduction
In the management of type 2 diabetes (T2D), medication adherence is a crucial issue. One of the strategies to ensure medication adherence among T2D patients is nurse-led intervention meant to change the behavior of patients. This study, therefore, seeks to determine how a nurse-led behavior change intervention compares to standard care in patients with T2D in increasing adherence to medication in a period of four months. This section is a literature review that analysis eight literature materials.
A comparison of research questions
In all the articles, the research questions incorporate the aspect of nonadherence to medication/management strategies, however, there are varying aspects in the details of each research question. In my school setting, I can see some of the principal traits described by Fullan (2010) in our principal: there is a focus on instruction and the need to personalize education—but only to a limited extent. Fullan (2010) argues that this focus needs to be deep and that the principal needs to be obsessed with it, making sure that every student is getting results. In my school, the principal talks about the importance of this objective but does not really provide teachers with help or tools to make it happen. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (2019), more than 30% of adolescents have an anxiety disorder, 8.3% of which can be classified as “severe” with corresponding impairments in social or academic functioning (p. 1). However, educators and education administrators lack the resources or tools with which to respond and help students with anxiety disorders (Bhatia & Goval, 2018). Existing leadership models in education need to be revised to include diagnostic and observational tools, and evidence-based practice interventions embedded into appropriate pedagogical and managerial strategies.
